Minecon 2015 has been happening today and news has been dominated by Minecraft.
We have now learned that when Windows 10 launches at the end of July, it will be bundled with its own version of Minecraft.
Known as Minecraft: Windows Edition, this version is currently still in beta.
Owners of the Minecraft on PC will have free access to this version. Everyone else will have to pay $10.
The game has the exact same mechanics as the previous version, along with the creative and survival game modes as expected.
Nothing really appears to have changed with this version. With the exception that controller users can switch between mouse/keyboard and a gamepad.
Additionally, there is an Xbox app integration that allows you take screenshots, or record gameplay footage with the Game DVR feature.
Microsoft promises that they will be making changes based on player feedback.
At the moment, whether this new version of Minecraft will break mod compatibility, or whether Windows Edition players will be able to join the same servers as regular version players, is an unknown.
We should expect a full announcement from Mojang very soon.
