Assassin’s Creed Syndicate meets real life parkour

Assassin's Creed Syndicate meets real life

Impressive displays of parkour never really get old, so much so that it’s about more than getting around town as nimbly as possible – that’s what motorbikes are for.

Parkour is without a doubt a performance art, albeit a very extreme one – and often times requires death defying manoeuvres of agility and strength.

It’s why we keenly trawl through the internet in search of a new demonstration or recording, and this latest find is something else.

This video, entitled ‘Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Meets Parkour in Real Life’, is exactly what it says on the tin.

It’s a fantastic display of parkour, containing a number of stunts we could hardly believe. Throw in an Assassin’s Creed Syndicate narrative and you’ve got a winning formula.

That’s not strictly true. It certainly couldn’t have been done without the French Freerun Family, a professional international parkour and freerunning team based in France.

You know what. Just watch the video and see for yourselves:

It’s a pity there’s no grappling hook; it is a newly introduced staple of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, and something Ubisoft was only too keen to advertise – if only such a thing actually existed, right?

Grappling hooks aside, Just Cause 3’s notwithstanding, we’re extremely impressed by French Freerun Family.

If anything, we’re also as impressed with the camera work. But we’re not all that surprised at the quality of filming, not when it’s Devin Super Tramp at the helm of the video.

In case you don’t know, Devin Super Tramp is a superbly talented YouTube video producer, who has produced some of the best videos you’ll find floating around the interwebs.
