Openweb's new uncapped, unshaped ADSL packages launched

26 October 2010

MWEB has recently launched their first 10 Mbps uncapped ADSL accounts aimed at the consumer market, complimenting MWEB Business’ 10 Mbps uncapped, unshaped services aimed at the business market.

Openweb has now followed suit with their new uncapped, unshaped static IP product range. According to Openweb, these new uncapped accounts are “running off a platinum business grade ADSL network” which means that subscribers can “expect the best access.”

All the new ‘static IP ADSL accounts’ from Openweb include 5 Static Public IP addresses and ‘platinum ADSL bandwidth’ but are only available on a 12 month contract with a mandatory debit order. These accounts further carry a once off setup fee of R929.

Openweb has launched the following static IP uncapped ADSL accounts:

– 384k Uncapped, Unshaped – R689

– 512k Uncapped, Unshaped – R919

– 4096k Uncapped, Unshaped – R2899

– 10Mbps Uncapped, Unshaped – R8699

These new Openweb static IP uncapped ADSL accounts have a similar product description as the recently launched MWEB Business uncapped, unshaped ADSL accounts. It is therefore of value to compare the companies’ pricing on their respective product ranges.
