Dark Souls III at 4k: good luck finding anything prettier

Dark Souls 3 - 4K

And you thought Bloodborne is a good looking game, and of course it is, but Dark Souls III is about to take Hidetaka Miyazaki’s famed action RPG franchise to a whole new level.

Dark Souls III’s uses of Silcon Studio’s Yebis post-processing process of course makes a helluva difference, in much the same way that it did for Bloodborne, but more engine refinement has obviously been done since then because… well… look at it.

But just before we get into the screenshots, keep in mind that these are 4K screenshots, so don’t expect the console versions to be this stunning, but PC gamers are in for a truly gorgeous nightmare.

Great as it looks, we’re hoping that FromSoftware have also learnt to refine and polish the delivered experience, as Dark Souls 1 and 2 were all sorts of unrefined, something they seem to have gotten a lot better with Bloodborne.

Dark Souls III launches in April of next year, 2016, for PC, Xbox One and PS4.
