About FIFA 11
Despite its name, FIFA 11 is actually the 19th FIFA game from EA. The series recently broke the 100 million mark in collective sales, and it is the strongest football game franchise in the world.
A new passing system was implemented with FIFA 11 called “Pro Passing”, which gives the player more control in determining the power and accuracy of the pass. EA has also merged the old “Be a Pro Mode” and “Manager Mode” in to an all encompassing “Career Mode”, where the player can choose to play as the manager, a single player, or a player-manager over the space of 15 seasons.
As the manager, players must negotiate signing contracts with different players. They will have to earn their position, as the club’s board will vote on contract extensions; a decision which will be based on performance. The manager reputation system from previous games remains intact.
In terms of player control, the game features the “true 360° dribbling system”, as well as the new ability to play exclusively as the goal keeper.
