We’ve often said that the Arkham games are an example of the story of Batman at its best; turns out, we may have been wrong.
If one studio has the potential to outdo Rocksteady, it’s Telltale Games, and they may do just that having announced a Batman game.
“At Telltale, we’ve been honored to bring our unique approach to interactive storytelling to some of the biggest entertainment franchises in the world, and we’re excited to announce that we’ll soon be exploring what it means to be Batman in an all-new series starting next year,” said Kevin Bruner, Co-Founder and CEO of Telltale Games.
While the announcement nor the trailer tells us much of anything, we’re certain that it’s going to be an episodic title, following the same formula Telltale Games has been running with for a while now.
“This iteration of Batman will give fans a first-hand opportunity to dive deeper into the complex life and mind of Bruce Wayne, the duality of his own identity, and the struggle of responsibility in saving a city overcome with corruption and villainy,” said Bruner.
Now you’re talking. Here’s hoping for hard choices that affect the game in meaningful ways, edgy topics and the same quality of narrative seen in the likes of The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us.
