The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - The Game Awards 2015

Having excited us with new titles and world premieres, The Game Awards 2015 has demonstrated some exciting stuff for 2016.

At the end of the day, however, it was an award show.

And while we don’t always agree with their ultimate winners, there’s no doubting that each game was a worthy contender.

With that said, if anything, the winners are certainly worth mentioning, even if only for curiosity’s sake.

Here are the best games of 2015, according to The Game Awards 2015:

  • Game of the Year – The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
  • Developer of the Year – CD Projekt Red
  • Best Shooter – Splatoon
  • Best Action-Adventure – Metal Gear Sold V: The Phantom Pain
  • Best RPG – The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
  • Best Sports/Racing Game – Rocket League
  • Best Art Direction – Ori and the Blind Forest
  • Best Score or Soundtrack – Metal Gear Sold V: The Phantom Pain

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and CD Projekt RED got the largest portion of glory, and rightly so.

Are there any winners you particularly agree or disagree with?

We’re really quite happy that a few indie games were allowed to shine – too often they’re completely ignored.

If you liked that then these will be right up your alley
