Forget Amped, Shaun White, or any of those other pretenders – when it comes to snowboarding games, SSX is where it’s at. Experts agree that SSX3 on the PS2 was pretty much the greatest snowboarding game ever, and even SSX Blur on the Wii was pretty cool. SSX on Tour on PSP perhaps not so good, because I broke the stupid analogue nub assembly on a turn and had to buy a whole new PSP.
Anyway, the web spies over at superannuation have turned up two new SSX domains – SSX First Descent and SSX Deadly Descent – recently registered by EA. Of course, whether or not these are actually real titles remains a matter of speculation for the moment, but mysterious new SSX domains don’t get registered for nothing, right? Right.
Back in February, rumour broke that Burnout developer Criterion would be handling the next generation of SSX titles, although they subsequently denied this. Please let that have been a lie.
