Kickstarter games raised $46 million in 2015

The only thing gamers love more than the games they’re playing right now is the games they’ll be playing tomorrow – we’re imaginative; we can’t help it.

Kickstarter gives us, the gamers, the opportunity to have a say in what we play next, so is it any surprise to find that video game Kickstarter projects raised a helluva lot of dough throughout 2015?

According to a Kickstarter blog that went up yesterday, video games raised a mind boggling $46, 177, 705 – that’s R773, 712, 065.05.

While no video game managed to garner the internet breaking $8 million plus the card game Exploding Kittens managed, the likes of Torment: Tides of Numenara and Shenmue 3 did manage $4.2 million and $6.3 million respectively.
