Homefront: The Revolution’s new co-op mode is a sight to behold

Dambuster Studios just revealed that Homefront: The Revolution will have a new online co-op mode called “Resistance Mode”.

Resistance Mode is a four-player co-operative online mode where you form a resistance cell with other players.

In the mode, you use guerrilla warfare against the KPA military in story-driven missions across Philadelphia.

You can customize your own selection of Freedom Fighters as your team progresses from civilians to soldiers.

As you progress, you can unlock new skills, even earning weapon blueprints, rare equipment and combat gear that is upgradeable.

Xbox One owners will be the first players that will be able to play the Closed Beta, scheduled to run from the 11th to the 14th of February, exclusive to the platform.

Additionally, Homefront community members could be invited to participate in a sneak preview of Resistance Mode through upcoming Closed Beta Stress Tests.

These tests will be taking place on January 29th and February 5th on Xbox One.

Dambuster Studios’ Hasit Zala had this to say about the game:

Homefront: The Revolution is this team’s most ambitious project yet. In addition to our epic 30-plus hour single-player campaign, we expect to launch Resistance Mode with 12 Missions, packed with re-playability, and hope to release another 20 Missions within the first year. To ensure our community can always play together, all Resistance Mode Missions will be free to download.

All pre-orders for the game will receive the “Revolutionary Spirit” pack, which offers unique skins and instant unlocks of selected weapons.

Homefront: The Revolution will be out on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on May 20th.  Tell us what you think about the game in the comments and forum section below.
