Indie Game and Mod of the Year – cast your vote

Respected game modification website ModDB and its sister site IndieDB have now opened public voting for their respective favourites of 2010.

The Mod of the Year awards are entering into their ninth iteration, whilst IndieDB is celebrating the launch of their first ever Indie of the Year award. The public can vote for their favourite mod or indie title by visiting the respective website and browsing through the lists. Anyone can vote, but the votes of registered member’s carry more weight.

Indie of the Year is IndieDB’s award show that rewards excellence in independent game development and all related fields. 2010 is the first year that the IOTY’s have run separately from the already established MOTY awards.

Mod of the Year

Mod of the Year is ModDB’s award show rewards excellence in modding and all related fields. The 9th annual Mod of the Year awards invites developers, fans and now for the first time, the press, to rub virtual shoulders to help celebrate the community and culture surrounding modifications.

2010 has had some monster releases like the ground breaking Eastern Front, adding a whole new faction to Company of Heroes and Nehrim: At Fates Edge, releasing a massive singleplayer experience for Oblivion in four different languages.
