id Software’s DOOM is on everyone’s radar, and for good reason. It’s gorgeous, brutal and the alpha was enormously fun.
id Software are poised to reintroduce the old-school shooter in a contemporary, fresh way – promising oodles of atmosphere, tight controls, solid gunplay and a lot of polish.
For every new trailer that releases, we lose about a litre in drool. That may not sound charming, but it’s difficult not to be excited when id Software are releasing trailers like this.
Enjoyable as it may be, and we’re betting it will be, it’s going to be awfully heartbreaking if it was a short experience.
The good news is that it won’t be, not according to id at least.
.@Unreal389 The difficulty level plays a factor, but folks playing at the office average 13+ hours in the campaign

13 hours is plenty. Throw in a highly replayable multiplayer, if id is to be believed, and you’ve got the makings of game of the year.
DOOM releases on May 13th, 2016, for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
