Activision made headlines all over the universe yesterday when details of a US$400 million lawsuit filed against EA turned up. The publisher is suing EA over alleged corporate conniving in the Infinity Ward defection, claiming the rival publisher conspired to “destabilize, disrupt and … destroy Infinity Ward” in order to “hijack” Jason West and Vincent Zampella.
In an email to the LA Times, EA guy Jeff Brown described the litigation as “a PR play filled with pettiness and deliberate misdirection,” claiming that “Activision wants to hide the fact that they have no credible response to the claim of two artists who were fired and now just want to get paid for their work.”
