“Violent” PlayStation Move ad banned in the UK

23 December 2010

A PlayStation Move advert for The Fight: Light’s Out has been banhammered by the UK’s Advertising Standards Authority for being likely to “condone or encourage violent behavior” after eight people complained about it.

Eight people. Seriously. The offending image shows one guy punching another guy. BUT THINK OF THE CHILDREN! They’d much rather see that stuff on the front page of The Sun.

Apparently two of the complaints even claimed the ad is racist, because the guy getting punched has a slightly darker skin tone than the other guy.

Granted, the ad is a bit tacky, but I prefer to think they’re just bro-hugging.
