DICE has unlocked the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam Battle for Hastings map for Xbox and PS3, although – SCANDALOUSLY – those lamer Xbox and PS3 gamers didn’t actually manage to push the original requisite 69 million team actions.
It was a mercy decision, apparently. According to the official Battlefield Blog, “[S]ince we want to start this new year with a big of a bang as we ended it, we are enabling Operation Hastings for the PS3 and Xbox 360 as of today!”
I’d previously assumed the PC gamers had blagged a headstart with an early launch, but MyGaming’s commentators have pointed out that the challenge only started on 22 December, when the expansion had launched on all three platforms. So this is clearly a total console gamer fail.
Pa-the-tic, guys. Now we have to come up with a story about actionbots or something. Hey, that works. The PC gamers used actionbots.
