Dead Space save file unlocks Plasma Cutter in Dead Space 2

The Concordance Extraction Corporation values its employees. As such, those intrepid engineers returning for a second round of duty in the face of overwhelming adversity will be rewarded for their – some might say “stupid” – dedication with a cheap tool.

Or, basically, if you have a Dead Space save file somewhere (game completed or not), you’ll unlock the original Plasma Cutter right at the beginning of the sequel.

Unfortunately, interstellar postal services aren’t the most reliable (or something), because the Plasma Cutter arrives in Dead Space 2 without any of its erstwhile upgrades. What did you expect? A real chance? Ha. Ha. Ha. No.
