Your Twitter account may have just been hacked and sold

Hackers have stolen a massive amount of Twitter login credentials and are selling them on the Dark Web.

LeakedSource confirmed the hack in a blog post and stated that the leaked cache of Twitter data may contain as many as 32,888,300 records, including email addresses, usernames, and passwords.

Twitter have acknowledged the hack, but were quick to point out that it wasn’t its fault:

“We are confident that these usernames and credentials were not obtained by a Twitter data breach – our systems have not been breached.”

“In fact, we’ve been working to help keep accounts protected by checking our data against what’s been shared from recent other password leaks,” a Twitter spokesperson said.
