IGN Africa has been shut down after a recent lack of activity due to a money dispute.

The African IGN website no longer exists, and attempting to access it via za.ign.com or africa.ign.com will result in an automatic redirection to the United States IGN domain.

This follows recent reports of IGN Africa publisher Chris Mostert attempting to solve a dispute over the method of payment for the IGN licence.

When asked for comment regarding the closure of IGN Africa, Mostert stated:

“What you are asking is about our business and when we are launching again. That will come out in a press release at a later stage.”

Currently, there is no information regarding the re-launching of the IGN Africa domain.
