This is your last chance to upgrade Windows 10 for free or risk paying over R1,400

Windows 10

If you are still battling against those constant “upgrade notifications”, you are in luck – Microsoft will no longer be offering Windows 10 as a free upgrade to Windows 7 and 8.1 owners as of 29 July.

After that, you can expect to pay at least R1,399 for a copy of Windows 10 Home. Alternatively you could be paying up to R2,299 for Windows 10 Pro.

Those who upgrade will also gain access to the upcoming Windows 10 Anniversary Update (expected on 2 August), including advanced gestures, new Cortana commands and the merged version of the Windows/Xbox One app stores.

Have you upgraded to Windows 10 yet? Let us know in the comments below and in our forums.
