My final salute – Jeremy leaving MyGaming

16 October 2013

I’m sad to announce that I will be moving on from MyGaming – to greener pastures, as promised to me by this Nigerian Prince who’s giving me half of his wealth – what a nice guy.

While I’m yet to see the money, I have faith that my guy will come through, so I’ve decided to wriggle free of the stranglehold (literally, a stranglehold) that MyGaming editor James and the rest of the team had me in.

There are things I have been told that I cannot confirm or deny. I cannot confirm that James is in fact a brony. I cannot confirm that MyGaming reviewers are paid in Crocs. Furthermore, I cannot confirm that the forum is owned, administrated, and monitored by a group of Internet-savvy cats. I guess some mysteries are better left unsolved.

No photoshopping whatsoever

No photoshopping whatsoever

In all seriousness though, it’s been really awesome being part of MyGaming over the last year and a half, seeing the site grow and evolve, and the community expand and diversify.

My slavery term comes to a close at the end of October, so I’ll be around for a few more weeks, holding James as he cries into his hands from all the mean photoshops of him in the forum.

Thank you guys and girls for all your comments, feedback, and participation throughout my time here, and continued support of the site and the local gaming community as a whole.

Sayonara, bitches.

P.S. Before you ask, yes, MyGaming is looking for a replacement. So if you’re tech-savvy, did the schools and stuff, and can strung together a gooder sentence, then check out the job listing. But seriously, only passionate applicants need apply.

A word from James

I’d like to thank Jeremy for his hard work and commitment during his time with MyGaming. He helped the website to grow to what it is today, and his contributions to the editorial strategy will not be forgotten as we move forward. He’ll be a tough gaming journalist to replace. Please join us on the MyGaming forum as we reminisce on the good times, and the stalkers can find out where Jeremy will next be putting fingers to keyboard.

The office won’t smell the same, and the coffee won’t be as creamy without him. Good job done, sir, good job done.

P.S. That wasn’t cream in the coffee…just saying.

All the best for your future endeavours. May your future be bright and prosperous. Thanks for the memories.
