11 December 2016

Forbes has revealed 2016’s biggest Box office flops.

Max Steel is the current loss leader, having grossed just over $4.4 million at the global box office, despite costing over $50 million to make.

Matthew McConaughey’s Free State of Jones was second on the list, grossing just $23.2 million worldwide on a $50 million budget for a 46% return.

Pride and Prejudice and ZombiesThe Brothers GrimsbyWhiskey Tango Foxtrot and Martin Scorcese’s Snowden round out the list.

It’s worth noting that these are listed due to how little of their initial investment they recouped.

Other films including Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping and Keanu did much worse at the Box office but had comparatively lower budgets.
