Samsung Smart TVs now support Shazam

19 August 2017

Samsung has released an update for its 2017 Smart TV platform, adding integration with music identification app Shazam.

The application is integrated with a TV’s Smart Hub, and can be used to identify songs playing on live TV or over HDMI.

The Samsung One Remote can also be used to identify songs, by speaking into the device and asking it what song is being played.

Shazam also offers viewers the ability to stream the music they identify and create playlists that can be accessed without having to run an external app.

This feature will roll out to all 2017 Samsung Smart TVs.
