The long-awaited and highly-anticipated FromSoftware game, Elden Ring, has revealed another two starting classes available to players.

The two revealed classes are the Confessor and the Samurai, the former being described as a ‘Church Spy’ and the latter a warrior from a distant land skilled with a katana and longbow.

Elden Ring features mobile, fast-paced gameplay and is the first FromSoftware Soulslike game to include mounted combat.

The Confessor features stats geared towards a hybrid playstyle, using both Incantations and melee weapons in combat.

However, it will initially not be able to wear heavier armour sets and require greater dodging skills to survive.

On the other hand, the Samurai is a pure fighter-type class focusing on melee and ranged weaponry, with a particular preference for katana-type weapons and longbows.

This class will be able to wear heavier armours at the start of the game than the Confessor – granting it greater survivability.

Below is the tweet published by Elden Ring that revealed the two classes.

The two classes added to the already released eight bring the total number of starting classes for Elden Ring to 10.

Elden Ring releases on PC and Consoles on 25 February 2022, and you can watch its trailer below.
