Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi is an upcoming limited-run Disney+ exclusive series that will debut on 25 May.
Ewan McGregor returns to his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi, and the story is set 10 years after the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.
Hayden Christensen will also return to star as a younger Darth Vader, and Joel Edgerton will reprise his role as Luke’s guardian, Owen Lars.
The series will be directed by Deborah Chow, who has helmed several The Mandalorian episodes.
The trailer depicts Obi-Wan on the desert planet of Tatooine, keeping a watchful eye over Luke Skywalker while also hiding from the Empire.
The Empire won’t give Obi-Wan the chance to retire, though, as they have enlisted the services of Sith Inquisitors to hunt down any remaining Jedis and consequently eradicate the Jedi Order for good.
The series will expand beyond Tatooine, as the trailer shows scenes on a new Hong Kong-themed planet called Daiya.
Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi will join other future Disney+ Star Wars Originals, such as Ahsoka, Andor and The Acolyte, all of which will launch in the coming years.
