Dying Light developer Techland has teased a new open-world fantasy role-playing game in a tweet posted yesterday.
The tweet included a concept art image and announced the plan to develop a “AAA Open World Action-RPG in a fantasy setting”.
“Our ambition is to introduce a brand-new IP that is vastly different from what we have been doing for the past several years, and we want to create a fully next-gen experience,” said Techland CEO Paweł Marchewka in a statement.
“While we cannot share more details about this project now, we’re all truly invested in it and looking forward to showing it to gamers when the time is right,” He added.

According to Gamespot, Techland has appointed ex-Witcher narrative director Karolina Stachyra and narrative lead Arkadiusz Borowik to head up the project.
Stachyra is credited for the Bloody Baron questline in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Borowik contributed to both The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Other confirmed additions to the team include:
- Mario Maltezos – Creative Director (Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Mad Max)
- David McClure – Lead Game Designer (Deathloop)
- Bartosz Ochman – Open World Director (Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt)
- Kevin Quaid – Lead Animator (Horizon Zero Dawn and The Frozen Wilds DLC)
- Marcin Surosz – Lead UI/UX Designer (People Can Fly)
Techland’s tweet seems to also serve as a recruitment drive as it contains a link for applications, and includes text in the concept art that reads, “let’s build an exciting brand-new world together”.
