New Crash Bandicoot game leaked

7 June 2022

Toys for Bob is reportedly working on a new Crash Bandicoot game that could potentially be revealed during Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest.

The leak came from Jez Corden, a well-known journalist in the gaming industry, during a podcast episode on Xbox Chaturdays.

“I think we could see a new Crash Bandicoot, and not only is it going to be a multiplayer Crash Bandicoot, but It’s like a four-player brawler,” said Corden.

This Crash Bandicoot game will evidently be similar to Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, where players match up against each other as their favourite characters.

While the title of the new game is unknown, Corden did say for certain that it is not Crash Wumpa League, which is another Crash Bandicoot multiplayer game that was widely speculated to be in development.

This rumour quickly died out when key individuals linked to the Wumpa League project left the company.

It seems now that Crash Wumpa League is in Toys for Bob’s rear-view mirror, and the developers have taken the idea of a multiplayer Crash game in a very different direction.

We’ll find out soon enough if there is any truth to the leak as the Summer Game Fest is scheduled to broadcast on 9 June at 19:00 SAST.

The Summer Game Fest will stream on YouTube and Twitch.
