FIFA 23 cover athletes officially revealed

19 July 2022

Electronic Arts (EA) has officially revealed the FIFA 23 cover art, which will feature Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe and Chelsea’s Sam Kerr.

Kerr will be the second female athlete to feature on the cover of a FIFA game, with the first being USA striker Alex Morgan who featured on the cover of FIFA 16.

EA also announced that a FIFA 23 reveal trailer will premiere on 20 July 2022 at 18:00 SAST on YouTube.

The trailer will be just over two minutes long and is expected to provide details about the new features coming to the game.

EA will release an in-depth gameplay trailer for FIFA 23 closer to the release date — which is confirmed to be 30 September 2022.

“FIFA 23 will be the most expensive FIFA game ever, and will have more features, game modes, World Cup content, clubs, leagues, competitions, and players than any FIFA title before,” said EA vice president Cameron Weber.

As previously reported, this will be the last FIFA branded game released by EA, as the franchise will be called EA Sports FC going forward as it is not renewing its agreement with FIFA.

FIFA 23 will launch on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
