Ubisoft has announced that the Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora release date will be pushed to sometime in 2023 or 2024.
“We want to make Avatar a video game industry brand, and it’s important for us that we come with something perfect,” said Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot as part of the company’s first-quarter report.
Ubisoft first announced Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora in 2017, before unveiling the game’s first trailer in 2021 — which included the announcement of the original release window of sometime in 2022 shortly after.
This is no longer the case, and fans of the franchise will have to wait at least a year to explore Pandora in Ubisoft’s game.
Despite this delay, Ubisoft revealed in its earnings report that it’s still set to release Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope on 20 October and the pirate simulator Skull and Bones on 8 November 2022.
The company also noted that Ubisoft Forward will return with updates and news on multiple games on 10 September 2022, which will include the unveiling of the future of the Assassin’s Creed franchise.
