Steel Battalion Heavy Armour puts players in the pilot seat

6 April 2012

Steel Battalion Heavy Armor is an upcoming action game where players take control of a VT commander with some clever use of Microsoft’s Kinect.

The game can be played with a combination of the Kinect system and a normal controller, allowing players to have an idea of what it feels like to control a futuristic war machine.

The instructional video below depicts how the game is played using the Kinect.

Set in 2082, Steel Battalion Heavy Armor depicts a world devoid of computers, where war is waged with rudimentary weapons as new superpowers struggle for dominance. In this low-tech era there is one weapon class that will determine the course of the war – the Vertical Tank. Players take on the role of VT pilot Sgt. Powers as the battle to regain the United States from Chinese occupation begins.
