Ubisoft has trotted out a batch of Far Cry 3 screenshots in support of their E3 showcase.
Far Cry 3 returns players to the series’ original tropical setting, with new protagonist Jason Brody trying to escape an archipelago of islands populated almost entirely with crazy people. Sounds like a pretty standard Pacific holiday package to me.
The game boasts a 4-player co-op campaign as a separate mode from the game’s single-player campaign, and features mission-based gameplay that tasks players with completing set objectives together.
The multiplayer modes will include features such as team-boosting battle cries, team mate revival, and calling in team support weapons. After each match, players can choose to show mercy or punish foes in “fun and twisted ways” through interactive cut-scenes.
A map editor for the game was also confirmed.
