Tomb Raider – mother lode of screenshots

Tomb Raider was one of the most impressive showings at E3 and the re-imagining of the long-running action/adventure franchise has caught the attention of veteran, skeptical and previously-unfamiliar fans everywhere.

Some new screenshots highlight incredibly detailed environments, characters and hardships that the 21-year old Lara will have to endure.

Tomb Raider is an origin-story reboot for the series, and will feature a much more natural looking and “real” Lara Croft in her upcoming adventure. The story begins with Lara involved in a shipwreck off the coast of Japan, leaving her stranded.

Crystal Dynamics has previously highlighted that they want to tell the transition story of Lara Croft from a young and naive college student into the toughened archaeologist we have come to know.
