The recent announcement at the Nintendo Direct conference with regards to the three-game-deal between Nintendo and Sega is an exciting prospect for Wii U owners, and Sega has released the first trailer and details for one of those three games, Sonic: Lost World.

The new trailer shows some details about the game, which will feature the “Deadly Six” – the villains that Sonic will have to foil.

The gameplay itself shows that its definitely taken inspiration from another colourful mascot’s adventure, Super Mario Galaxy, which isn’t a bad thing at all.

Players will have to traverse (with speed) around some gorgeous and mind-bending 3D environments, while harnessing Sonic’s new abilities, such as a wall-run and climbing ability.

Sonic: Lost world will be exclusive to Wii U and 3DS, and set for release within 2013.
