Eidos Montral has showcased its next-generation Thief entry, providing a 10-minute walkthrough of the re-imagined stealth game.
The demo itself shows the incredible detail the game has to offer, including the great facial animations and environment elements.
The game’s producer, Stefan Roy discusses Thief’s focus on shadows and how it plays a role in the way you’ll traverse the environments.
The video also shows the ways in which you can distract and dispose of guards in order to get closer to your goal.
Previously, Eidos Montreal said that the PC version of Thief is “extremely important” for the franchise.
“Just playing Thief with a keyboard and mouse is different so we must make sure we support that well. For making the PC version we think like a PC gamer, for consoles it’s a different type of beast. It’s one of our goals to make sure that the PC version isn’t just a copy of the console version,” said game producer Stefan Roy.
Thief is set to arrive on PC, PS4, and other next-gen platforms in 2014.
