Bungie has released a 12-minute gameplay video for its upcoming current- and next-gen MMO shooter, Destiny.

The gameplay, as you’d expect, is incredibly impressive, showing a truly next-gen sense of scale and graphical fidelity.

Since Bungie handed over the Halo crown to 343 Industries, the famous studio has been working on Destiny.

Destiny is a first-person shooter set in a persistent online world, with a heavy focus on co-op gameplay. The game will require always-on internet in order to be played.

The premise revolves around a interplanetary human colonisation, where humans are on the brink of extinction. After the human colonies fall apart, the remainders of mankind try and revitalise and repopulate these cities, but find a hostile alien threat has taken occupation. Players will enter into the battle to not only save the cities, but the human race as well.
