BitTorrent is now available for Android and iOS smartphones

BitTorrent has officially released Android and iOS apps based on its torrenting service.

While BitTorrent making a name for itself as a torrent client for desktop PCs, it appears BitTorrent Now is trying to distance itself from online piracy, as the app is primarily serving up legal content.

“With BitTorrent Now, fans can find films from artists they love on their iPhone during their commute and then favorite to stream later on the couch in front of their Apple TV,” said BitTorrent.

“They’ll also have the ability to follow artists they love, create playlists, and see what’s trending on social or in the BitTorrent community.”
