Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare came out last week guns blazing, marking one of the notable releases of the year, but this week, it’s a chance for some other big-name games to stake their claim for the month of November.

Here are our picks for the games releasing this week, 7 – 11 November 2016:

Dishonored 2

11 November 2016 (Xbox One, PS4, PC)

The first Dishonored opened the world of supernatural assassinations to gamers and the sequel is set to take it to new heights.

Players will be able to choose between playing as Corvo or his daughter Emily in this slick-looking follow-up which takes place in the coastal city of Karnaca rather than the grimy streets of Dunwall.

Players can also use a variety of new supernatural powers to hunt down their targets, but it’s also said that the game can be finished without taking a life.

We’re intrigued and can’t wait to see how the distinctly creepy vibes of the original are reimagined for Dishonored 2.

Robinson: The Journey

8 November 2016 (PS VR)

South Africa will only be getting in on the virtual reality action when the Playstation VR arrives on 24 January 2017, but there’s already some great-looking VR games releasing, with Robinson: The Journey being one of them.

Built by the team behind the Crysis series, Robinson: The Journey, which is a futuristic Jurassic Park survival experience, of sorts, puts you into the shoes of a young boy who has to explore a mysterious and dangerous world.

Players need to discover the strange flora and fauna of the planet, while also interacting (or avoiding) certain dinosaurs and other bizarre creatures.

It looks like a great step forward into the world of VR and based on the studio’s calibre, should provide gamers something more than a mere tech demo.
