4 tips to get the most out of South Africa’s Black Friday deals

22 November 2016

With Black Friday frenzy at an all-time high this year, it’s important to start your shopping off on the right foot.

That’s why we’ve come up with 4 tips to get the most out your shopping time this year.

Check them out below:

Plan Ahead

You need to have a game plan before heading to the shops this weekend.

Check out our Deals page for the exact products you want and head directly for those items first chance you get.

Alternatively, several stores like Game allow you to sign-up for deals notifications, meaning you will get email alerts for deal first.

Start Early

If previous years are anything to go by, there will  be a line around the block if you arrive at opening time.

That’s not to say you can’t still get a deal, but to avoid the chaos try to get there as early as possible.

That means you can either camp out with the rest of us or head online and beat the foot traffic.

Head Online

One of the biggest secrets about Black Friday shopping is that you don’t need to even leave the house.

Most of the sales have online components meaning you can avoid the chaos but still snag a sweet discounted product.

We recommend bookmarking deals now so that you can plan ahead.

It’s worth noting what time the online details open (usually 00:01 on Friday morning), and you may want to stay up to grab the best deals.

Remember Cyber Monday

While not as big as Black Friday in South Africa, it’s worth noting that several online stores will also be running Cyber Monday deals.

This can be a bit of a gamble, but if you’re willing to save your cash for a few days and are comfortable with shopping online you can still score some great deals early next week.
