VS Gaming has partnered with Orlando Pirates to offer top-placing players in its upcoming football eSports tournament a contract with Orlando Pirates eSports.
The top ten players from the VS Gaming R1.5-million championship will be offered a one-year contract to join the eSports division of Orlando Pirates.
VS Gaming will provide Orlando Pirates eSports players with access to training at the VS Gaming venue in Midrand in addition to providing players with hardware.
“We believe eSports’ popularity will soon rival rugby, cricket and soccer,” said Orlando Pirates brand activation manager Tokoloho Moeketsi.
The VS Gaming football eSports tournament will see over 1,000 gamers competing for a prize pool of R1.5 million and will take place at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand on 22-23 July 2017.
