This week sees the arrival of a racing veteran, along with the return of a battle-bloodied monster-hunter. Here’s our picks for the games releasing this week.
Forza 7
3 October 2017 (Xbox One, PC)
The Forza Motorsport series has always been a flagship franchise for Microsoft, and the seventh primary instalment arrives on Xbox One and PC this week. Of course, it’s Forza, so you know what you’re getting, but we don’t think anyone is prepared for exactly how gorgeous Forza 7 is.
Alongside it’s stellar graphics, Forza 7 includes over 700 cars and more than 200 different configurations to race on across 32 locations, with more to be added through DLC. Dynamic weather is also vastly enhanced this time around, along with customisable drivers, so you can really make the Forza experience your own.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen
3 October 2017 (Xbox One, PS4)
An expanded and enhanced version of Dragon’s Dogma, a shamelessly overlooked but critically acclaimed Capcom title for PS3 and 360, arrives repackaged and beefed-up on Xbox One and PS4 this week.
If you don’t know about Dragon’s Dogma, it’s basically a massive open-world monster-hunting action game, where you can team up with AI companions to take down some majestic beasts. This new edition contains all the content from the original Dragon’s Dogma plus the additional content from its sequel, filled with challenging new enemies and quests, and additional high level weapons and armour sets.
