It’s been a relatively easy start to 2018, but things are now heating up as we head into the latter part of January, which brings some massive game releases for us to indulge in.
Dragon Ball FighterZ
Release date: 26 January 2018 (Xbox One | PS4 |PC)
With Tekken 7 and Injustice 2 shaking up the fighting genre in 2017, Dragon Ball FighterZ is the next big release throwing its weight into the ring this week.
Set in the beloved Dragon Ball Z universe, FighterZ takes the tried-and-tested DBZ fighting games back to a 2D plane, resembling the animated series more than ever.
There’s a huge roster of fighters and some incredibly cinematic moves to unleash on your poor younger brother or unsuspecting friends. This should be a goodie.
Monster Hunter: World
Release date: 26 January 2018 (Xbox One | PS4)
Bring one of the biggest releases this side of 2018, Monster Hunter World is the long-awaited, current-gen jump of the franchise to the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Giant, seamless maps. 4-player online co-op, and of course, a ton of colossal monsters to hunt down and kill in what’s looking to be the series’ most ambitious to-date.
Along with being able to play with friend across the globe for the first time, players will also be able to dive into a world-spanning single-player campaign.
