Relic’s take on the third-person action genre has been available for a few days now, and most major publications have got their reviews up. The game is available on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, and takes place in Games Workshop’s iconic Warhammer 40,000 universe.
We got some hands-on time with the game prior to its launch and were generally impressed with the game, which adopts a very straightforward, action-orientated approach, often relying on melee combat, distinguishing itself from the likes of Gears of War which encourages cover based combat.

Overall Space Marine is an awesome experience. The game lasts for about 12 to 15 hours which is just long enough. Due to the well paced story and well handled upgrades to your equipment this running time gives you just long enough to mess around with all of the goodies before it’s time to move on to the multiplayer.
