Win tickets to the rAge 2011 expo

13 September 2011

South Africa’s biggest gaming and consumer electronics centric event is around the corner – rAge 2011.

The rAge expo is taking place from 30 September to 2 October 2011 at the Coca-Cola Dome in Johannesburg, alongside the traditional BYOC (Bring your Own Computer) NAG LAN @ rAge event, which has attracted a full house of 2,200 participants this year.

“We are happy to report an attendance growth of 8% from 2009 with a total of 20,316 visitors at the 2010 rAge expo. Additionally 2,080 NAG LAN tickets sold out in 36 hours. This year we expect to top 23,000 visitors with the LAN increasing in size yet again,” said Michael James, Senior Project Manager for rAge.

“The psychosocial demographic of our visitors has also exploded in recent years, from our earliest rAge events visited primarily by your characteristic gamer, we now see many more families and consumers from all age brackets and LSM categories. Gaming is now truly for everyone,” James explained.

rAge gives gamers a chance to try out unreleased games from international publishers who visit SA from all over the world to promote their games. In previous years gamers have been able to get hands on time with the likes of Uncharted 2 and Borderlands months before they came out.

We are awaiting final confirmation on the gaming attractions for rAge 2011, but it is likely that the biggest titles of the year will be on show.

Courtesy of Tide Media, MyGaming has 7 sets of 2 rAge expo tickets to give away to the MyGaming community. Tickets are valid for one day of the expo.

To be clear, these tickets are to attend the floor expo, and not the NAG LAN @ rAge event.

The rAge expo takes place over the weekend of 30 September to 2 October at the Coca-Cola Dome in Johannesburg. If you will not be able to attend the event, please refrain from entering the competition.
