Games releasing this week (26 – 30 March 2012)

March is almost over, and a flurry of Easter holidaying is coming our way – which is the perfect time to catch up on the gaming you’ve missed, or to get some new games to delve into.

If you’re fortunate enough to be in school, it means you have holidays coming up, and the rest of us hard-working, tax-paying citizens of the world don’t like you very much.

But don’t let our smoldering hatred get in the way of your time off – check out the games you can grab this week to stockpile for your coming Easter gaming sessions.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2013

Disappointingly, Tiger Woods 13 isn’t anything like the Tiger Woods game shown in that one South Park episode – but it’s still a Tiger Woods game, and they’re popular for a reason.

Featuring 22 licensed golfers, online country clubs, championship courses as well as Move/Kinect integration, if you’re into that sort of thing – this is sure to be the tried-and-true complete golfing experience you’ve come to know and love.

The game’s marketing proudly shouts “experience Tiger’s legacy” though we’re pretty sure that doesn’t include any of his more, ahem, colourful activities.

Ninja Gaiden 3

Need a bit more gore and blood this week? Well Ninja Gaiden 3 is coming out, so check that one off your list.

Ninja Gaiden 3 follows series protagonist, Ryu Hayabusa, as he pursues a mysterious masked man whose motivations aren’t clear (are they ever?).

The game is hoping to tone down the extreme difficulty, that’s been a series stable, to make the title more accessible – but don’t expect things to become baby-fodder. There will also be online co-op and new competitive modes, just to add a different dimension to the game.

Oh, and if you’re picking up the PS3 version, you can enjoy slicing and dicing people in bloody rage with full Move compatibility.
