Afrihost recently announced their new uncapped ADSL bundles at very aggressive prices, lowering the barrier of entry for uncapped broadband services in Africa.
“Afrihost recognizes that the barrier of entry for many consumers is not so much the cost of bandwidth, but rather the total cost of a broadband solution,” said Afrihost CEO Gian Visser.
“By introducing the most affordable ADSL bundles South Africa has ever seen, Afrihost is launching an aggressive attack against the high cost of fixed bandwidth installations.”
Afrihost’s pricing undercuts most other Internet service providers (ISPs) in the country, raising the question of how its pricing stacks up against competitors.
The following tables show that Afrihost’s uncapped ADSL bundle pricing is exactly as aggressive as its CEO claims.

Pardon me for my ignorance, but is this the full cost of having a full working internet solution at home. So if I get a 4meg line from Afrihost I will pay only 697 a month…or do I still have to pay Telkom the phone line rental and/or ADSL line rental..
