Pokémon watercolours are wonderful, kinda terrifying

What’s black and yellow and hiding in your closet, waiting until it’s dark and the wind is howling, and the tree outside your windows is scraping long gnarled fingers across the glass, and you’re all alone in that big old house, and nobody will hear the screams?

This… thing.

Freelance artist Wednesday Wolf has taken your childhood and totally ruined it with a series of Pokémon paintings that firmly and ambiguously remind you that they might fit in your pockets, but they’re still monsters.

Can you name all of them? I got as far as Mr. Mime before deciding I’d had enough. Then I curled into a ball in the corner of my room and shuddered uncontrollably for ten minutes.

You can check out the whole gallery – along with some of Mr Wolf’s other artwork – and even order large prints of the images on his site, but be warned, there’s some NSFW stuff on it.
