I’m not sure how you can blame Telkom. I recall Afrihost providing the internet sponsorship, not Telkom. What rAge did was take the Dome’s 30 ADSL Lines and put 2600 people on them. Those lines were never meant to handle that many gamers which is why they fell over. Blame should be placed on the people who failed to secure the required capacity.
When Telkom gets involved, they do an amazing job. For example, Telkom held their own 600 man LAN at rAge in the banqueting section for the Do Gaming League. It had a 120Mbps fibre line and 70Mbps in backup ADSL lines. Every gamer could play online without lag.
