Games you can play this week

The first official full week of November is here, and as the weather continues to heat up, so do the gaming releases.

This week, Xbox 360 and PS3 gamers each get an anticipated exclusive to wet their appetites and continue to fuel the console flame war.

Halo 4

6 November 2012

The famed franchise has gone from the hands of Bungie, and into those of 343 Industries’, who also handled the Halo Anniversary release. In doing so, gamers have been anxious to see where to series has gone, and from what it looks like, critics are pleased with Halo 4.

Halo 4 is set in the aftermath of Halo 3, where Master Chief returns to confront his own destiny and face an ancient evil that threatens the fate of the entire universe. Halo 4 marks the start of a new trilogy.

LittleBigPlanet Karting

7 November 2012

This week, LittleBigPlanet Karting will see everyone’s favourite stitched-up hero, Sackboy, make his way to the racetrack.

United Front Games along with Media Molecule are handling the development, and fans can rest easy considering United Front’s racing pedigree, as the developer was also responsible for ModNation Racers, the PS3 racer that ran on user-created levels.

The extensive creation options from ModNation, combined with the creativity of LittleBigPlanet 1 and 2, should transpose into this spin-off, giving gamers the tools to create their own tracks, characters, races and of course, karts.
