While gamers are still battling to find time to finish Assassin’s Creed III, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, Halo 4, and everything else we’ve already been treated to this month, you’ll be glad/sad to know that Black Ops II is finally here.

Fans of kart racers will also be getting their fix of competitive racing, as both F1 Race Stars and Sonic All Stars: Racing Transformed hit store shelves this week.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II

After an early leak, it’s that time of year again where another Call of Duty arrives on our consoles and PCs.

Black Ops II looks to mix up the traditional past/present setting of the franchise, by jumping to the future for the first time.

Black Ops II asks what would happen if the technology created to protect your country, was turned against you.

The game isn’t all about explosions and multiplayer teabagging, as David S. Goyer, the co-writer of The Dark Knight Rises is at the helm, and composer Trent Reznor is putting together the music, showing that there’s a lot of talent behind the Black Ops sequel.

Featuring a generation-spanning campaign and a zombie-mode on steroids, Black Ops II is looking to be something familiar, yet different, this time around.

F1 Race Stars

If you’re into Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel… with big misshapen heads, you’ll be glad to know that F1 Race Stars is finally here.

F1 Race Stars will contort classic race tracks like Monaco and Silverstone with new over-the-top bends and exaggerated features. The game will support up to 12-player races and offer solo-play with an “extensive career mode”.

The game features all the over-the-top kart racing action you’d expect, but with a little hint of F1 authenticity through the distorted likenesses of the world’s best drivers.
