November has to be one of the most chaotic periods of gaming, with every big publisher pushing out their triple-A titles to keep us busy through the holiday season.
With Black Ops II, Assassin’s Creed III and Far Cry 3 all out, it’s still not over, as December has a few games up its sleeve.
Cabela’s Dangerous Hunts 2013
December 2012
For those of you who have been eager to shoot defenseless animals in the face since Cabela’s Dangerous Hunts 2012, you’ll be glad to know that the 2013 version is finally here.
Coming packed with the “Fearmaster” gun controller, you’ll have nothing to cower from as you blast bunnies, weasels, and even the odd squirrel, as you shoot your way to virtual hunting glory.
Hawken
12 December 2012
For those who may not know, Hawken is a visually gorgeous multiplayer mech combat game, which brings the strategy and control of piloting a giant robot, with the fast-paced action of a first-person shooter.
Adhesive Games announced that the title will include support for the on-head virtual reality display, the Oculus Rift.
Hawken is scheduled for a 12 December launch on PC.
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
6 December 2012
Grand Theft Auto follows in the footstep of its predecessor, GTA III, and arrives on iOS this December.
The release will coincide with the 10th anniversary of the beloved game, and will feature the same Miami-inspired city, crazy characters and over-the-top action that made the original a classic.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Dragonborn
4 December 2012
Dragonborn will take players back to Solstheim, the setting from The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind’s Bloodmoon expansion.
The most exciting thing about the expansion, as the name suggests, is having the ability to ride a dragon – an activity incredibly underused in gaming today.
Dragonborn will be available for download for 1600 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE on 4 December 2012. Bethesda hasn’t given a release date for the PC and PS3 versions yet.
Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth
December 2013
Avengers: Battle for Earth makes its super-powered arrival on Xbox 360 and Nintendo’s new Wii U this month.
Battle for Earth will feature all the expected heroes, including Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America and Thor, as well as other superheroes from the Avengers history and comics.
The story won’t be directly tied into the recently released film, and will instead revolve around the Secret Invasion storyline from the comic books.
Other releases:
The Walking Dead (4 December 2012)
Mass Effect Trilogy (4 December 2012)
