While its clichéd to say, time really does fly. It’s now 2013 and there is a wealth of gaming goodness ahead of us, and January is kicking it off in style.

Anarchy Reigns – 11 January

Platinum Games’ downloadable smash-em-up is finally hitting store shelves this month.

Anarchy Reigns (aka Max Anarchy) stars a cast of over-the-top brawlers, including fighters from the MadWorld and Bayonetta series.

In addition to the campaign, players can take the fight online in the Battle Royale, Capture the Flag, Death Match, Tag Team, and Survival multiplayer modes.

DmC – 15 January (PC – 25 January)

Dante will make his return this month, despite some criticism from sceptical fans.

The reboot – simply dubbed DmC – is looking to find the balance between a hardcore hack-’n-slash, while also providing enough fluidity and access for newcomers to the franchise.

Dante’s symbolic weaponry returns – along with new angel and demon swords, which are activated with the left and right triggers respectively, and by mixing those Angel and Demon weapons you’ll find the depth in the combo system.

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch – 25 January

Most may not even know about Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, but Namco Bandai’s RPG is hands-down one of the most beautiful games ever made, and is heading our way this month.

Featuring a gorgeous animated art style, Wrath of the White Witch offers deep RPG elements and exploration, along with a quick-to-learn battle system.

English voicework and a charming soundtrack are just the cherries on top to one of the most exciting looking games next year.
